Summer's Almost Over!

Hey guys!

Well, I've had a nice long summer vacation...haven't we all?? Even though I didn't go on vacation or anything...lol mostly all I did was sleep in. xD But it was still just NICE and RELAXING to have a little break, ya know? I will be going on vacation like in a month, so I want to make the most of this blog while I can. I'll be back to busy, busy, busy-ness August 21st, so after then I'll probably only update this blog about twice a month. But still, I hope you like these upcoming crafts that I've planned out for you...one is a Duct Tape Dollie. The second one isn't really much of a craft, but still: How to turn your old clothes into new ones! The third craft; Water Bottle Buddies. The fourth; Clothespin People. And the fifth...the fifth one is really special. Know why? It's because you get to vote on what the fifth craft is!!! I'll be adding a poll to the blog, so please...don't let your opinion go to waste! Place your votes in now!!! :D Along with new crafts, I am currently working on an actual website for Crafts 4 Fun so that you'll get to be part of it too! There's going to be a forum, a photo gallery, and even more!

Well hope you all have a wonderful rest of your summer!

Hey everyone! I'm back with THREE new crafts for you to enjoy! Check it out!

First off I have a really cute and really simple Fall tree craft to make.
You will need four brown pipe cleaners, scissors, and an assortment of orange, red, and yellow beads. (Or if you want to create a green leaved tree, then you will just need a variety of different green colors.)
Step One: Take three of the pipe cleaners and fold them in half. Then twist them together, starting at the fold, until there's about an inch and a half of twisted pipe cleaner. Then spread out the ends like tree branches.

Step Two: Cut the remaining pipe cleaner into little pieces, about an inch each.

Step Three: Twist the cut up pieces of pipe cleaner around the branches, to make it look like smaller twigs are branching off of the tree.

Step Four: Add the beads to the branches and now you'll have a beautiful Autumn tree to look at!

This is what your finished project should look like.

This next craft is very easy, and can be made in about five to fifteen minutes. It's an Apple Craft
You will need one red sock, green felt, a rubber band, scissors, and fiberfill for this project. (I just used left over scrap material as a replacement for fiberfill. Newspaper, uncooked rice and beans work as well.)

Step One: Cut the sock right below the heel.
Step Two: Fill the toe of the sock with fiberfill, and squish it into a ball shape.

Step Three: Draw a pattern like this on the green felt and cut it out.

Step Four: Tie the green felt leaf around the top of the apple, and place a rubber band around the top as well, to hold it all together.
The final craft is a toothpick American Flag...

You will need scissors, glue, a red marker, blue paper, a lid for drying on, 13 toothpicks, and glitter or star sequins.

Step One: Color seven of the toothpicks red, and leave the other six their natural color. (If you want to make the stripes bigger, you can color 14 toothpicks red and have 12 of them blank. That way, the stripes are bigger and the flag in more in proportion.)

Step Two: Glue the toothpicks together with red going first, then white.

Step Three: Repeat this until you have 13 stripes, and the flag starts with a red one and ends with a red one.

Step Four: Cut out a rectangle, put glue all over it, and sprinkle glitter or star sequins on it. When both of the parts dry completely, glue the rectangle on and there you have your very own American Flag!

Well that's it for now, but check back soon! I'll have some great new crafts to share with you! Also, please subscribe to my blog and get all my posts sent right to your email inbox!

HOPPY EASTER EVERYONE! Here's an easy 7 - Step craft to make your own Easter Bunny!

Hey everyone!

It's me, Jess, back with some exciting new crafts to share! And they are mostly Easter crafts so I hope you're in the Easter season!!! :D This very easy, simple, and ADORABLE Easter Bunny! You need very few things to create this, and they can be found in many stores for very cheap.
So let's get started!!!

This is all you'll need to create a 'hoppy' little friend! Markers, a paper towel, glue, tape, and a plastic drinking cup.

STEP ONE: Fold the paper towel in half. (OPTIONAL - You may want to place the folded towel on the cup and make a small mark where you'll want the face.)

STEP TWO: Draw a cute little bunny face, tummy, and feet. You can also add arms if you want!
STEP THREE: Put glue all over the front and top of the cup, as shown above. (NOTE - it works best if you use a paintbrush to spread the glue on the cup.)

STEP FOUR: Place the paper towel on the cup, and make sure you're very careful in lining up the body on the cup. DO NOT CUT OFF THE EXTRA FLAPS!

STEP FIVE: Gather the extra flaps of paper towel, and bunch them into two flaps sticking above the head.

^^^ LIKE THIS ^^^

STEP SIX: Tape the ears securely to the head, and either tape or cut off all the other access towel.

OPTIONAL - Step Seven: If you want, you can glue on a couple cotton-balls on the backside of the rabbit to represent it's tail.

This is what your finished project should look like.

You can use these cute and very inexpensive Easter Bunnies for many things: gifts, decorations, ANYTHING!!! Use your imagination and I'm sure you can think of something! :D
 Later gators!
Tune in next time for more Easter crafts from me!

Shadow Box Nativity

Hello!
This new craft is a very special one, and will take some time to complete. It is a Shadow Box Nativity Set! I thought it made sense because in the barn where Jesus was born, it was night so it must've been dark. So to start off on your project, you will need...
You will need a soda box, markers, scissors, cardboard (the lighter the color of the cardboard, the better), and a hot glue gun. (You can use regular glue, but it doesn't work nearly as well.) No, you don't need a cat, my little kitty, Smokey, just wanted to be in the picture. :D
Step One: Cut the soda box in half, starting at the hole made for carrying it. (Again, ignore the cat. :D )
Step Two: Cut a small square in the back of the soda box.

Step Three: Draw Joseph, Mary, Baby Jesus, the Three Wise Kings, an Angel, and the Star. Then cut them out.
Step Four: Using the hot glue gun, glue the characters in the soda box so that their faces are facing the square you cut out.
Step Five: Your finished project should look something like this. (The picture wasn't great since it was pretty dark in the shadow box.

Adorable Little Angel

Hello Everyone!

This is an adorable Christmas decoration which you and your little 'angel' will love to see. You only need several items to make it, which are very cheap to get.

What You Need

You will need white and yellow paper,
Scissors,
A square piece of cardboard,
Tape,
Glue (I forgot to put it in the picture. ),
A paperclip,
And a picture of someone special (their head only)

Step One: Cut a complete circle from the white paper.

Step Two: Cut a straight line until you reach the center of the circle. Next start overlapping the two sides until it creates a cone. Tape it so that it stays.

This is what your finished cone should look like.

Step Three: Now it's time to make the wings of the angel. Remember, you need to keep the wings in proportion with the angel. Luckily I have a little trick in keeping it all in proportion. Simply place the finished cone on the piece of folded yellow paper, and trace over the top of the circle. That will be the top curve of the wing.

Step Four: Try to make your wing look something like this. As you can see, I messed up a little bit, but this can easily be fixed. Make sure that you leave the tab on the right on the wing, as that is needed to attach the wing to the angel. Now cut the wings out and proceed to the next step.

Step Five: Cut a small slit in the back of the angel so that you can stick the tabs, on the wings, to fit snugly in the angel. If you're worried that the wings may fall out of the angel, simply tape them to the back while still in the angel.
Step Six: This is what the angel should look like with it's wings in. Now, glue the angel to the piece of cardboard, and make sure that she dries securely onto the cardboard.

Step Seven: Now, take the paperclip and your picture and either tape or glue the paperclip to the back of the picture. Make sure that the paperclip is glued on in a way, so that it is able to clip onto something.

Step Eight: Now, when everything is dry, clip the paper clip onto the back of the angel's neck and write on the cardboard, "So-and-so is my Little Angel." Now you can decorate your home with all your 'Little Angel's'.

Tips and Suggestions
If your angel's picture is of someone elder than you, you can put, "So-and-so is my Guardian Angel." or , "So-and-so is my Angel from Heaven." or anything that you want!
These can make great ornaments as well, just attach a string to the back and don't glue it to the cardboard.
With some imagination, you can use these for anything! Maybe make a dozen of them, hang them above your baby's cradle. I'm sure you can think of something. :)

Happy Holidays!

Cute Christmas Gift Bag ~ Very easy and cheap to make!

Hi Everyone!

Okay, so the first craft that I am going to teach you is one of my personal favorite, a Christmas Gift Bag. This craft is extremely cute, and very easy and cheap to make! All you need is a paper lunch bag, scissors, and tape. Now the first step is to mark where you're going to cut the bag. You want to mark it higher on the bag if it's a large gift you're putting in the bag, but these gift bags are mostly made for smaller gifts, so I usually cut just about a half inch above the bottom crease.

Step 2: Cut the bag where you marked it and save both pieces, you'll need them later.
Step 3: Take the bottom half of the bag and put a small gift inside it. Simply fold the top down and seal it with a piece of tape. By the way, my little brother was very happy to have me show you his lego creation. :)
Step 4: Now for the top half. You'll use the top for a cute little decoration on the bag. Stick your hand through the top half and try to open it as much as you can.
Step 5: Firmly squeeze the middle section of the bag with your thumb and pointer finger.
Step 6: Now try to open up the ends even more, while still squeezing the middle. You should now have something that looks like the bow shown below.
Step 7: Take a long piece of tape and wrap it around the area that you squeezed, but make sure to leave a bit left so that you can fold the tape to stick to itself. Now you can just pop the bow on. Your finished project should look something like this.

Tips and Suggestions

To make the bag look more festive, decorate it before hand with stickers, markers, or whatever your mind can imagine!
Instead of saving the top half of the bag, try using tissue paper to make the bow. I personally don't like wasting the top part, but if you want it more colorful it makes a nice gift when using tissue paper. :D

Hope you like it! I'll post another craft tomorrow.
